"I had a great time last year," said a Pennsylvania officer who attended the 2009 Law Enforcement Appreciation Day at the Monster Mile. "The NLEOMF hospitality tent had plenty of food and drinks, and I truly enjoyed my time hanging out with the other race fans/police officers from around the country. The Memorial Fund’s mission is to generate increased public support for the law enforcement profession by permanently recording and appropriately commemorating the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers, and to provide information that will help promote law enforcement safety. The NLEOMF maintains the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, DC, and is a principal organizer of National Police Week each May.
