Help Honor America's Law Enforcement Heroes

The Combined Federal Campaign for 2009 is in full swing, providing all Federal civilian, postal and military employees with the chance to make regular, pre-tax contributions directly from their paychecks to the charities of their choice. The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) hopes that our dedicated federal workforce will once again give generously in support of the Memorial Fund's mission of respect, honor and remembrance for our nation's law enforcement heroes -- in particular, those officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in protecting our families and communities.

Why donate to the NLEOMF?

For 2009, the NLEOMF is celebrating 25 years of honoring America's law enforcement community -- local, state and federal. Founded in 1984, the organization built the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, DC, to make sure our fallen officers are never forgotten. There are currently 18,661 names engraved on the Memorial marble walls, including the names of more than 1,000 federal law enforcement and military police officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice throughout our nation's history. Today, the Memorial remains a place or honor in our nation's capital, bringing peace and comfort to law enforcement survivors, officers and friends from all over the country, and serving as a reminder to the nation of the incredible service and sacrifice law enforcement officers make on our behalf.

Now, the NLEOMF has taken on another monumental task — building the first-ever, Congressionally authorized National Law Enforcement Museum to tell the story of law enforcement and the nation's officers. With a fundraising goal of $80 million, planning for the Museum (which will be located adjacent to the Memorial) is well under way.

Your CFC donation will help build the Museum, maintain the Memorial and support the NLEOMF's important research and safety programs designed to honor and protect our nation's protectors.

As some of the most generous people in the world, even in tough economic times, our Federal civilian, postal and military employees are always willing to extend a hand. For your spirit and generosity, we thank you.
