To honor our law enforcement heroes — both living legends and fallen heroes — the Memorial Fund is kicking off our 2009 Holiday Heroes campaign to remember our law enforcement officers during the holidays.

Make a donation today of any amount in the name of a law enforcement hero and we will create a special 2009 Holiday Heroes badge with your name and your hero's name on it to place in the window of the Memorial Visitors Center in Washington, DC.

Whether you donate $5.00 or $50.00 — our Holiday Heroes campaign is a wonderful way for you to remember and honor the law enforcement heroes in your life.

The badges will remind all who see them of the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers and of the heroes we will never forget. The front windows of our Visitors Center & Store get lots of attention from 7th Street passersby, and our Holiday Heroes badges will be visible for everyone to see. Holiday Heroes are also recognized on our newly-redesigned website.

These badges will stay in our Visitors Center windows into 2010 as a special tribute to America's law enforcement heroes.  Once the campaign is over in January, we will mail you your 2009 Holiday Heroes badge to keep as a remembrance of your Holiday Hero.
