Stories of 9-11

The names of more than 19,000 officers who have died in the line-of-duty are engraved on the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, DC - including the 72 officers who perished on 9-11.

Dedicated to protecting public safety, serving their communities and defending America’s freedom, these officers are heroes whose courageous actions are remembered by a grateful nation.

None of us will every forget where we were on that Tuesday, now known forever as 9-11. The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund invites you to share your personal experiences and stories of 9-11, the deadliest day in law enforcement history – to show your support for these true American heroes.
