Description: Sergeant Haymaker was killed in an single-vehicle crash while responding to a burglary in progress. Sergeant Haymaker was heading southbound on Lake Shore Drive when his patrol car left the slick, icy road and struck a tree. Sergeant Haymaker was transported to the local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
