Description: Officer Lasater succumbed to gunshot wounds sustained two days earlier while attempting an arrest. Two robbery suspects on the Delta De Anza Regional Trail robbed a supermarket and a bank and were fleeing from officers. Officer Lasater spotted one of the suspects hiding in the bushes. When he ordered the suspect to come out, the suspect shot Officer Lasater several times. Officer Lasater remained on life support for two days so that his organs could be donated.
