Description: Police Officer Soderberg was shot and killed by an assailant during an attempted robbery. Officer Soderberg was outside the departments? police training center when he was approached and assaulted by an unknown suspect. While fighting with the suspect, the suspect gained possession of Officer Soderberg's weapon and shot him several times. Officer Soderberg was pronounced dead at the scene. Fellow officers responded and took the suspect into custody.
