Description: Civil disorder. First of seven officers killed during Attica Prison riot. Officer Quinn was beaten by inmates and suffered head injuries. An inmate was convicted of his murder but the sentence was commuted by the Governor and he was released from prison in 1979. Other officers killed were Edward T. Cunningham, John D'Archangelo, Jr., Richard J. Lewis, Carl W. Valone, Ronald Werner and Harrison Whalen.
