National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund Partners with Spire Motorsports and Premier Security Solutions to Honor Fallen Officers

Spire Motorsports’ No. 77 Chevrolet will display NLEOMF logo on car and race suit at NASCAR Cup Series race on May 12

WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 6, 2024) – The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) today announced a special partnership with Mooresville, North Carolina-based NASCAR Cup Series team, Spire Motorsports and Premier Security Solutions, a leading provider of comprehensive security services to display NLEOMF’s logo on both Spire’s No. 77 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, driven by Carson Hocevar and on the suit he will wear during the race. This will be featured during the Goodyear 400 race at Darlington Raceway on May 12, 2024.

Spire Motorsports and Premier Security Solutions will collaborate on various initiatives leading up to the race at Darlington Raceway, including the creation of a special NLEOMF paint scheme on Hocevar’s old-school patrol car design, featuring the organization’s logo. This special callout is in honor of National Police Week and the 282 officers killed in the line of duty in 2023 and previous years that were added to the walls of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial this year. These fallen officer names will be read aloud during the Candlelight Vigil at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. on May 13th, one of the many events in recognition of National Police Week held each May.

“We are honored to partner with Spire Motorsports and Premier Security Solutions in honoring the fallen, telling the story of American law enforcement, and making it safer for those who serve,” said Bill Alexander, CEO of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. “This collaboration represents a powerful alliance, uniting our shared commitment to honoring the sacrifices of those who serve and protect. We appreciate Carson showing his support of NLEOMF and wish him well on race day.”

The race begins at 3:00 pm ET from the Darlington Raceway in Darlington, South Carolina. Through a partnership with Darlington Raceway, NASCAR and NLEOMF, law enforcement personnel, first responders, public safety, corrections, friends, family, and the general public can reserve exclusive discounted tickets starting at $52. Proceeds from each ticket sold includes a donation back to NLEOMF to help with the work the organization carries out on a daily basis for the law enforcement community across the country.

“Having the opportunity to partner with the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial Fund and further the awareness of the fallen officers throughout the United States, through our involvement with Spire Motorsports’ NASCAR Cup Series team and the Premier Security No. 77 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, driven by Carson Hocevar is so overwhelming,” said Dave Forystek, CEO & Founder of Premier Security Solutions. “Having participated in the events that unfold every May in our nation’s capital to honor these men and women who have given their lives for their communities just seemed natural to me.  Law Enforcement is a vocation that is on its third generation in my family. I’m proud to say that, collectively, we’ve dedicated over 60 years to the citizens of Flint, Michigan.”

Carson Hocevar, the talented young driver behind Spire Motorsports’ No. 77 car, has quickly made a name for himself in the NASCAR Cup Series. The Portage, Michigan native made his NASCAR Cup Series debut for Spire Motorsports on June 4, 2023, and since then has gone on to notable success, including his fourth and most recent win in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series at Homestead-Miami Speedway in October 2023.

Ahead of the race in Darlington, Hocevar took the time to visit the National Law Enforcement Museum and the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial on April 26. This experience allowed him to pay respects to the fallen officers, gain a deeper understanding of their sacrifices and learn of the incredible story of American law enforcement – past, present, and future – which engages visitors of all ages in memorable, immersive and experiential exhibits, further inspiring his commitment to this important cause.

“To be a part of this with a longtime sponsor, supporting something that means so much to not only Dave Forystek but also myself and my family, I couldn’t be more excited,” said Spire’s No. 77 driver, Carson Hocevar. “Being able to honor those who have fallen with this sponsorship and a great organization my rookie year is something I will never forget.”

About the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund

Established in 1984, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund is a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring the fallen, telling the story of American law enforcement, and making it safer for those who serve. The first pillar of this mission, the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C., honors the names of all of the 24,067 officers who have died in the line of duty to date throughout U.S. history. Additionally, NLEOMF maintains and publishes comprehensive details on the circumstances surrounding official line-of-duty deaths. The Officer Safety and Wellness pillar uses that data, coupled with best-practice program models, to produce programming directed at solutions to improve survivability and enhance wellness. NLEOMF’s third pillar, the National Law Enforcement Museum (LawEnforcementMuseum.org) is committed to preserving the history of American law enforcement and sharing the experiences of service and sacrifice for generations to come.
