2013 Award Recipient

Bill Erfurth and Modern City Entertainment

From November 1981 to 2007, Bill Erfurth was an officer with the Miami-Dade (FL) Police Department. Beginning his career in 1981 and working his way up the ranks to Lieutenant, Bill was assigned as Commander of the Tactical Narcotics Team (TNT) in 1997, which became the most productive unit in the Department’s history. Bill got his start in filmmaking working with producer Jerry Bruckheimer on the film Bad Boys 2, and has now produced a number of films and TV shows himself. In the fall of 2012 he completed Heroes Behind the Badge, a moving documentary about the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers serving across America.
