VALOR
As part of the United States Attorney General’s Officer Safety Initiative, VALOR was created to respond to the startling increase in felonious assaults that have taken the lives of many law enforcement officers. VALOR is designed to be a comprehensive effort that will include classroom and Web-based training, research, and resources for sworn state, local, and tribal law enforcement officers. VALOR provides instruction and material to various levels of law enforcement, to include line officers, trainers, chief executives, and others as needed. The VALOR Training covers topics including how to anticipate and survive a violent encounter, techniques for identifying concealed weapons and/or armed gunmen, high-risk tactical considerations, and specific threat groups and violent criminals. To view the upcoming VALOR Training schedule, please visit www.ValorforBlue.org/Home/Events/. If you are a law enforcement agency and would like to request VALOR training in your area, please e-mail your request to valor@iir.com. VALOR Components:
