COPS Founding Executive Director Susie Sawyer

Memorial Fund Chairman & CEO Craig Floyd presents the "Lifetime Achievement Award" to Suzie Sawyer, founding Executive Director of COPS.

Suzie Sawyer is one of the three original incorporators of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. During her 27 years as an officer and board member of the organization, Mrs. Sawyer has served as its only Secretary and is Chairperson of the Names Committee. Mrs. Sawyer helped launch and now oversees the coordination of National Police Week activities in Washington, D.C. She retired as the Executive Director of COPS after 27 years of outstanding service on May 16, 2011.


IACP Executive Director Dan Rosenblatt

Memorial Fund Chairman & CEO Craig Floyd presents the "Lifetime Achievement Award" to IACP Executive Director Dan Rosenblatt.

Dan Rosenblatt has served on the board of directors of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund for the past 22 years. He serves as the Chairperson of the Strategic Planning Committee, is a member of the Audit Committee and is a founding member of the National Law Enforcement Museum Advisory Council. He joined the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) in 1986 and has been their Executive Director since 1989—the longest tenure in IACP history.


United Federation of Police Executive Vice President Bob Gordon

Memorial Fund Chairman & CEO Craig Floyd presents the "Lifetime Achievement Award" to Executive Vice President of the United Federation of Police Bob Gordon.

Bob Gordon is a founding board member of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. During his 27 years with the organization he has served as an original member of the Names Committee and the Officer of the Month Committee. Mr. Gordon has served the law enforcement community with distinction for nearly 60 years, starting with his appointment to the Freeport (NY) Police Department in 1952. He has served as a longtime police labor union leader and lobbyist, and is currently the Secretary Treasurer of the United Federation of Police.
